Obama’s Whoppers

Could his habitual lies reflect undisclosed Islamic influences?

The Democratic candidate for the presidency, Barack Obama has a history of telling whoppers.  His propensity for such predates his present campaign.  Other commentators have cited various reasons for his duplicities.  Some defenders claim that his antics are unintentional blunders that are apt to afflict most any weary campaigner.  A few have suggested that it’s some sort of dysfunctional malady intertwined with the trauma of divorced parents etc.  The purpose of this article is to explore the possibilities that it might be something of a more sinister nature.  It’s possible that he has affinities for Islam that run deeper than his commitments to the Christian Faith.  I’m not claiming that such is so, but there are little-known subtleties of Islamic doctrines that declare lying permissible under certain conditions. 

The principle of Al-Takeyya

  The word “takeyya” means “prevention” or “guarding against.”  The principle of al-takeyya conveys the understanding that Muslims are permitted to lie as a preventive measure to guard against anticipated harm to one’s self or to fellow Muslims. This principle gives Muslims the liberty to lie under circumstances that they perceive as life altering.  They can even deny the faith, if they don’t do so with sincerity of heart.  Al-takeyya is based on the following Quranic verse:

 “Let not the believers take for friends or helpers unbelievers rather than believers: if any do that, in nothing will there be help from Allah: except by way of precaution (prevention), that ye maygGuard yourselves from them (prevent them from harming you.) But Allah cautions you (To remember) Himself; for the final goal is to Allah.” Surah 3:28

  According to this verse a Muslim can feign friendship with infidels and display compliance with their religious inclinations and comfort zones to prevent them from harming him.  Other than enacting al-takeyya, it would be an act of apostasy that is punishable by death under Sharia Law for a Muslim to in any way hint of religious beliefs or faith in deities other than Allah.  We’ll touch more on that later. Under the concept of al-takeyya it’s legitimate for Muslims to belie truthfulness and their Faith. The following are acceptable:

• Drink alcoholic beverages, abandon prayers, and skip fasting during Ramadan.
•  Renounce belief in Allah.
•  Kneel in homage to a deity other than Allah.
•  Utter insincere oaths.
•  Lie to still quarrels within marriage and between fellow Muslims.

The Problem

  Many Muslims commonly employ the principle of al-takeyya in circumstances far beyond the restrictions cited in the aforementioned.  Such is born out in the testimonies of many non-Muslim firms that attempt to establish concrete terms in business deals with Muslim owned businesses.  Very often the details of agreed upon contracts become blurred by post-deal denials.  Many Western diplomats are confused about how it is that representatives of Islamic Governments can act agreeable to peace plans and willingness to work for the good of the world community on one hand; and later divulge opposite attitudes in Arabic and Farsi to Muslim audiences.  Why? Unbeknownst to the Westerners, al-takeyya is in play.  Unfortunately, Islam permits Muslims to lie anytime that such will better their own circumstances and/or extend its agenda for global domination.

Roots

  One might inquire how al-takeyya could possibly apply to Barack Obama’s ability to lie so often without violating his conscience. The answer might be that he favors the Islamic traditions of his grandfather and birth father’s religion. In addition, it could be that the Wahabbi extremist views of his stepfather are influential along with Barack’s schooling and mosque attendance while living in Indonesia. 

  On 12/22/07 Obama was campaigning in Iowa.  He stopped in at the Smoky Row Coffee Shop in Pleasantville for a piece of pie and to socialize with prospective voters.  An elderly woman had heard that he was a Muslim and asked about it.  His response was that he’d always been a Christian with inferences that he’d never practiced Islam.  There are a number of factors that qualify these assertions as whoppers.

·        In Islam to be born to a Muslim father equates to being a Muslim.

·        In his autobiography, "Dreams From My Father," Obama mentions studying the Quran.  

·        While in Indonesia he was enrolled in two Jakarta schools.  His mother had circled Muslim to identity his religious affiliation.  For 2 hours each week while Christian students were instructed about Christianity, Barack could be found with Islam’s students.  His teacher Tine Hahiyary said that she remembered that he had studied "mengaji".  This practice is repetitive recitations of the Quran and passages from the Hadiths that are as authoritative as the Quran for Muslims.

·        His classmate, Rony Amiris recalls Obama being a very devout Muslim, he says, "Barry was previously quite religious in Islam."  Another classmate, Emirsyah Satar, now the CEO of Garuda Indonesia, was quoted as saying "He (Obama) was often in the prayer room wearing a 'sarong.'"

Shahadah

  The first tenet of Islam is the Shahadah: 'ašhadu 'al-la ilaha illa-llahu wa 'ašhadu 'anna muhammadan rasulu-llah  – I testify that there is no god but Allah and I testify that Muhammad is the messenger/apostle of Allah.  The Shahadah is recited several times during Muslim’s 5 daily prayer sessions.  Considering that Obama’s classmates noted him as having a keen interest in Islam and observed him in the school’s prayer room and at the local mosque on occasional Fridays strongly infers that he prayed the Shahadah many times.  That and the fact that he was born a Muslim decry his assertion that he has always been a Christian. Other Lies

  Of course, we must take at face value Barack’s adulthood claim that he converted to Christianity during his 20-year membership at Rev. Jeremiah Wright’s Trinity UCC in Chicago. Perhaps, Wright’s brand of political, anti-white, anti-American Christianity is disconcerting for many.  However, if Obama’s confession was sincere, he is an authentic Christian.  But still, it’s troubling that his frequent lies are reminiscent of his childhood connections with Islam.  Al-takeyya has no precedents in the Christian Faith.  Lying defies the 10 commandments.  Christians are not to tell lies and those who habitually do so carry eternal risks.  This begs the question, “Why does he create so many fabrications in so many instances wherein it’s hazardous to be caught at such?”  Here are some examples;

·        Obama claims that his birth father was the son of a poor goat herder and farmer who also served as a cook for the British in Kenya. Truth – His grandfather was a wealthy farmer and his father had a privileged upbringing rather than one of poverty.  Affluent upbringings never hurt the Kennedy’s political aspirations.

·        He says that his father came to America because Jack and Bobby Kennedy decided to do an airlift to bring some young Africans over to learn about the USA.  He asserts that his grandfather heard the call and wanted his son to participate. Truth – If his grandfather was motivated by such a call, it was during Dwight Eisenhower’s administration.  His son, Barack H. Obama Sr. was a brilliant scholar who was awarded an American sponsored scholarship in economics at the University of Hawaii in Manoa.  The late Kenyan cabinet minister Tom Mboya selected him for it.

·        According to Obama his parents met and fell in love during the Selma Alabama March.  Truth – Obama was conceived sometime in 1960 and born in 1961.  The Selma March did not happen until 1965. 

·        3/25/07 the Chicago Tribune reported about an incident that Obama wrote about in his autobiography, Dreams From My Father.  At the age of 9 while visiting his mother’s workplace in Jakarta, Indonesia he had come upon an article and photos in a Life Magazine of a Black who had attempted to lighten the color of his skin with a harsh chemical agent.  The effort failed and he tried to peel off his own skin.  Obama recalled that the article was a racial watershed moment for him.  Truth – The Tribune checked with the archives of Life and there was never such an article published.  Barack countered that it must have been Ebony.  That magazine could not find any evidence of printing the alleged piece.

·        Obama claimed that he’d never heard Jeremiah Wright make outrageous comments from Trinity’s pulpit about America, whites and so on.  When Otis Moss replaced Wright for his sabbatical, one of the eloquent minister’s first sermons was of similar tones.  Recently, Moss invited the renegade Catholic priest, Michael Phleger to preach.  The sermon mocked Senator Hilary Clinton as a crybaby who was aghast that a Black was stealing her show.  At the conclusion of Phleger’s blast, Moss thanked the Lord for the messenger and his message.  Previously, Obama had referred to Wright and Phelger as influential in his life.  He refers to Moss as a fine minister.  Truth – All 3 of the ministers seem to mirror the same disconcerting opinions.  Anyone who is candid would admit that people’s pastors reflect and inspire their core values.  The wise fully understand the potentials for Wright’s and Moss’ hostile sentiments to shadow elements of what might be lurking in the hearts of Obama and his wife, Michelle.

·        For several years Barack Obama was a paid director for the Woods Fund with radical unrepentant Weather Underground domestic terrorist William Ayers. He and the Weather Underground are responsible for over 20 bombings in the USA. Such includes the Pentagon, US Capitol, and police stations. People died in the incidents.   Bill Ayers contributed money to Obama's campaign and held fundraisers for Barack in his home. The Woods Fund raised a great deal of money for Rashid Khalidi's Pro-Palestine, Israel critical AAAN (Arab American Action Network).  Khalidi’s wife, Mona now sits on the board, but once served as its President.  There are serious accusations that Rashid Khalidi was once a member of the PLO (Palestinian Liberation Organization)--which is deemed as a terrorist organization. It’s also said that Khalidi was a director of the Palestinian press agency: Wikalat al-Anba al-Filastinija, (WAFA) in Beirut from 1976-82. There are reports that Khalidi was a de facto Arafat spokesperson. There are also inferences that Khalidi sympathizes with Hamas and Hezbollah.  Obama has definitely been endorsed by Hamas.   On 5/22/08 a questioner at a Boca Raton, FL synagogue asked about Obama’s connections with Rashid Khalidi.  Barack’s response was that he’d met Khalidi and spoken with him in an academic context, when teaching at the University of Chicago. Truth - The LA Times reported that Barack and Michelle and the Khalidis were dinner friends and frequently double dated. It also conveyed that Barack Obama gave a flattering tribute to Rashid Khalidi at a going away party when the Khalidis moved from Chicago to New York. As recently as several months ago, Michelle Obama attended a Khalidi family wedding.  William Ayers and his wife of the Weather Underground were also guests in attendance.

 Why Is It?

  Inquiring minds might want to know why the Islamists have not issued their customary death decrees for Obama’s apostasy through his conversion to Christianity.  It’s a reasonable speculation to think they might know things that the citizens of America don’t.  It could be that they surmise that his Christian rhetoric is a tongue-in-cheek al takeyya maneuver. Barack has claimed that he will have open discussions with governments that are hostile to the USA.  That includes the likes of Iran’s anti-Israel, anti-America Khomeini regime and Syria’s of the same flavor.  If elected and he follows through, hopefully he won’t greet them with cheek kisses and Salaam, Allah Akbar – Peace to you, Allah is great.

  Should that happen all freedom loving Americans would meet the fate that Denzel Washington spoke of concerning Blacks in America in the Malcom-X film.  He told an audience of Black Muslim enthusiasts something to the affect of:  You’ve been hoodwinked, bamboozled, lied to, sold down the river and shanghaied.  In that event we would have all been taken by al takeyya.
